Description:

Caicara is our "Alerting Alpaca".  Whenever she sees something that is out of the ordinary, she lets the herd know by emiting a loud screaching sound.  Caicara was the first of our alpacas to give birth.  Her baby boy, Christoper (shown with his mom in the picture above), was born in October 2004 on the same day as our daughter Christie's birthday, hence the name.  Her second cria was a dark silver grey boy the we named Power Vault.  Caicara is once again bred to Bognor Regis of the Shire, a super dense grey herdsire, in the hope that we will get another grey cria in the fall of 2006.
